Peace Prayer Day

Peace Prayer Day

Dear Community,

If we were to fill our bodies up with so much breath (prana), we could most likely transmit that into others that we are so fortunate to meet in our lifetimes.

Sadhguru explains that humans typically breathe 12 to 15 times per minute and use less than 20% of their lung capacity. He emphasizes that expanding lung capacity naturally reduces breath rate, which happens without conscious control. A suggested practice is to pause for a minute every hour or two, focusing on breath. This breath awareness connects to yogic physiology, where breath is linked to one’s perception and lifespan. Children demonstrate the ideal breathing pattern, breathing from their throat to navel, which reflects vitality and health.

What we are teaching is indirectly offered to where the student is ready, or not, to receive the capacity of breath. Let’s face it, take a deep breath, right now. Let us stop one minute every hour, and focus only on a one minute breath. Inhale 20 seconds, hold 20 seconds, exhale 20 seconds. Just do it, and eventually you’ll be able to. By slowing down the breath, the body goes into an anti-aging cycle of continual letting go. We age from worry. And our health declines from these toxins. Come on, let’s get better together. The thrill is when you look into another’s eyes and they see you.

The divine feminine put us in these situations to experience the uncomfortable unknown. She has no direct response to comfort you. You are the responsible party. So if anyone asks you, what are you planning? With a smile, you can respond “beats me, I’m staying out of the way.”

How do you get out of your own way? We stand together in that uncomfortable unknown, only to observe and resolve.

If you can allow yourself this infinite ability to sacrifice, only to bring you closer to your own true nature, there is the reward. We are feeling the space inside as opposed to the outside, which carries the distraction from our purpose. And yet these patterns from the past knocks on our door, kicking and fussing, until we have to come into complete surrender, honoring her voice, as we all are the teacher within.

There’s a sacred moment and walk together on Ram Das Puri, a gift given by the Hopi Indians to the Siri Singh Sahib to continue the tradition of Peace Prayer Day, which had already been established. We made a promise to keep this day given to us by the indigenous as a connecting current to heal and recharge our systems to the capacity which they can turn around and find space to serve. We are all walking in the same direction towards peace. Heel, toe, breathe, heel, toe, breathe, heel, toe, breathe. Feel your sole accept mother’s blessings as she will take what’s no longer needed and offer you back the gift of peace. Heel, toe, breathe. Give it altar (all to her). Awareness leads to awakening. For every element to be felt and swaddled, to heighten us to reach a higher vibration. It’s a beautiful experience to do.

In gratitude.
