Healing Grief

$1,100.00

There is something we learn about in these times of crisis which is the thing we really should be reaching for all the time. It is a deeper message in our essential nature. We need to reach for how that Nature, within us, can be acting all the
time– not just when a crisis occurs.

In every crisis there is a rebirthing. In every crisis there is an opportunity. But it often requires—in us—a new permission, a new permission inside ourselves, a new permission that assures us “you’re healthy” “you can do this”, “you can trust this”, “this is not something you would have designed for yourself but it was apparently designed for you”.

So, there is a hidden grace in every re-building process. From the lessons we learn from each rebuilding, each rebirthing, we come to learn that our life experience on this planet is really about rebuilding everything.

Healing Grief  with Karuna

This course offers a gentle, structured path through grief using the practices of Kundalini Yoga. Spread across two accessible modules, it blends inspiration, wisdom teachings, guided yoga practice, self-reflection, journaling, and deep rest — giving participants a well-rounded space to process loss at their own pace.

Course Highlights:

  • Grounding Warm-Up & Tune-In — Sessions begin in Easy Pose with simple warming movements and the traditional palm-to-palm Prayer Pose, settling the body and mind before practice begins.
  • Sacred Mantras — Karuna guides participants through two short chants from the Sikh tradition: the Adi Mantra (“Ong Namo”), which connects practitioners to inner and outer wisdom, and the Mantra of the Heart, a prayer for protection and success — both taught with clear pronunciation guidance for newcomers.
  • “Getting the Body Out of Distress” Kriya — An 18-part flowing sequence (including thigh slaps, hip raises, spine rolls, snake hips, cat stretch, and self-massage) designed to help release stored tension and emotional distress from the body.
  • Life Nerve Stretch — A seated forward-fold practice that stretches the body while encouraging a calm, focused breath.
  • Pittra Kriya — A specific set of movements and mudras, including the Shuni Mudra with rhythmic finger flicks and Cannon Breath, aimed at balancing the chakras.
  • Superman Pose — An energizing arm sequence paired with rhythmic breath work (“Har”) to build strength and vitality.
  • Closing Song — Each session ends with the well-known Kundalini Yoga blessing song, “May the Long Time Sun,” offering a warm, communal close to the practice.
