Karuna’s Light on Kundalini: Your Lifestyle Guide to Yoga & Awakening is a refreshing antidote to the noise surrounding modern spirituality. Instead of offering quick fixes or mystical theatrics, she delivers a grounded, intelligent, and deeply human guide to Kundalini Yoga as a lived path. With more than four decades steeped in practice, teaching, and international service, Karuna brings authenticity and maturity to every page.
Her explanation of yoga’s cosmology — from Prakriti and Purusha to the Gunas and the workings of the mind — is woven with clarity and relevance. She makes ancient yogic philosophy accessible without diluting its depth, connecting it seamlessly with neuroscience, emotional awareness, and daily life.
But it’s her personal stories that give the book its heartbeat. Her account of returning to a flooded home, and the spiritual insight that followed, is a rare blend of vulnerability, discernment, and grace. She writes about grief, reinvention, identity, and resilience with disarming honesty.
