Cooling Herbal Infusion

Cooling Herbal Infusion

(Best for Pitta)

Makes 1 Quart

Rose is a famous pitta balancer that reduces heat and calms the mind and nerves with its soft and sweet taste. Both raspberry leaf and red clover purify the blood, remove toxins, and support healthy reproductive tissues. Together this trio is cooling, nourish-ing, and cleansing, and it targets the rakta dhatu and generative system.

  • 2 tbsp fresh rose petals (1 tbsp dried)
  • ½ cup fresh red raspberry leaves (¼ cup dried)
  • ½ cup fresh red clover blossoms (¼ cup dried)

Combine the herbs in a l-qt mason jar and cover with almost boiling water. Cover and allow to steep overnight (8 to 12 hours).

In the morning, use a metal sieve to strain the infusion into another glass jar. Drink

at room temperature, or warm gently to drink as a tea.

Sip the quart over the course of the day (always within 24 hours), and make a new batch in the evening for the following day.
