Ayurveda, the ancient holistic healing system of India, the sister science of yoga, is a complete approach to a healthy body, mind and spirit that incorporates diet, exercise, life routines, mental practices, massage, and, of course, herbal medicine, which is the foundation of Ayurvedic treatment. Ayurveda teaches how the right combination of foods, herbs and spices can create powerful effects to restore, maintain and enhance your health and vitality.

Karta Purkh Singh Khalsa will acquaint you with the fundamental concepts and practices of this ancient vital science which you will be able to apply immediately in your daily life.

Saturday Morning: Ayurveda 101
We will learn the Ayurvedic approach to healing and how to create and maintain a healthy life. Since each of us is unique, you will learn your body type and the Ayurvedic way to personalize your individual healing program for the best and fastest results. Learn how to fortify your digestion, build your immune system and regulate your sleep. Knowing yourself at the deepest level can help you stay healthy for a lifetime.

Saturday Afternoon: Personalize Your Diet with Ayurveda
Each of us is unique. As different as our bodies are, so, too, are our nutritional requirements. Ayurveda recognizes this, and emphasizes the correct diet for each person. Diet is the first and most basic building block of good health in Ayurveda, and can be an effective treatment for disease, even when used alone. It is the safest therapy, and can be used by anyone as self-care. Let delicious food heal and energize you.

Sunday Morning: Personalize Your Lifestyle with Ayurveda
As each person is viewed as an individual, so, too, can we understand how each person should conduct his or her life. Your schedule, your relationships, your choice of exercise, all can be calculated using Ayurveda’s understanding of body types. Learn how and when to eat, sleep, work and play, according to Ayurveda, and enjoy your great health to the fullest.

Sunday Afternoon: Personalize Your Herbal Medicine with Ayurveda
Ayurveda is a treasure trove of exceptional herbal remedies. In this part of the workshop, we will discuss a selection of outstanding examples. We will cover a few old standbys, and uncover some hidden gems. Our focus will be on practical and personal uses, and we will look at some little known applications.
