The Yogic Path and Modern Life: A Complete Guide and Experience–Bhakti, Jnana, Karma/Hatha and Raja
Jan 10, 2015 | 9:30 am to 8:30 pm
One Spirit Learning Alliance, New York City
Karuna will be co-teaching a workshop at One Spirit Learning Alliance, a leader in interspiritual education. She and Kurt Johnson, PhD, founder of the InterSpiritual Dialogue, will introduce participants to the four paths of true Yoga –“Bhakti” (heart and service), “Jnana” (knowing), “Karma/Hatha” (techniques and technologies) and “Raja” (natural state) – and provide an immersion in Kundalini Yoga (the energy yoga of the chakras), including the modalities for the physical body, mantra, chant, and meditation/inquiry.
This day-long and evening workshop will offer students an informative context for the spiritual history of Yogic Paths, inquiry and exploration of what the Yogic Pursuit (which means “seeking Oneness”) involves, and a rich variety of experiential activities that will make those contexts real and accessible.
The workshop is open to the public. Attendance can be in person, via Audiobook, or via WebStream (Adobe Connect). Registration fee is $95.
